Petco 5K9 Powered by Purina

Good Morning!

I didn't do much running last week, my grand total was 11 miles.  So far this week isn't looking too great either, boo.  Last week I was feeling a little burnt out and decided to take it easy.  I also have this hacking cough that just won't quit and it kept me up most of last night, amazing.  I am going to need to get creative this week to get my runs in and will be making friends with my treadmill again.  Actually I am not worried about my mileage right now since I feel like I've been hitting it hard most of the year.  Sometimes I need a break from the 5:30 wake up.

I did do a 5K with Katie and Maverick on Sunday and it was a lot of fun!  The Petco 5K9 Walk/Run was held in Portland at Columbia Annex Park in North Portland.  I wasn't sure how I would feel going into it since I hadn't ran much earlier in the week.  Katie picked up my race bib and swag bag for me and had it waiting for me when I met up with her and Maverick.  That bag was full!

Katie's swag bag picture but you get the idea

I absolutely love when races offer the participants a free race photo.  I think this is a huge benefit to someone registering for a race.  They had photo booths for all of the race participants and printed the picture right there for you to take home.  Kuddos to this race for offering that!

I should really have opened my eyes for the picture

This race was open to anyone not just runners with dogs.  Katie and I ran the 5K with Maverick and it was so fun to see so many different dogs out there running.  All of the dogs had huge smiles on their faces and it was fun to watch them all come through the finish line.  Whenever I run with Katie and Maverick it makes me realize how much I want a dog to run with.  While Lucy is my favorite little pug I can't expect her to be able to go out and run with me, she's a walker.  I definitely see our family adopting another dog one day and I look forward to getting him or her out there to run with me.

Earlier this summer Purina sent me some of their new dog food line Dog Chow Light & Healthy.

Now I wouldn't call my little Lucy "light" but she is healthy and happy.

And adorable

We like to go on walks and she loves to run circles around the house and in the backyard.  Just like people, dogs who are exercised regularly and fed a healthy diet are happier dogs.  Lucy has always eaten Purina and I feel good about the product they sell.  Healthy dogs are happy dogs!  Purina also sent me a pet pedometer.  Lucy is going to wear it for a week and then we are going to have Maverick wear it.  I am interested to see the difference between the two!  We both already know Maverick will have a higher number but it will be fun to see the difference between a pug and lab.

Every time I run a 5K I am reminded that I really do enjoy them.  Don't get me wrong the half marathon will always have my heart but really pushing it for a 5k just feels good.  Plus I am done in less than 30 minutes, always a plus.  Don't forget The Color Run 5K is coming to Portland in just a few weeks, don't forget to use this code to get $5 off!

**Purina sent me a 4lb bag and some samples for me and my dog friends to try.  I've always used Purina with Lucy and felt safe using their product.  I didn't receive any financial compensation for this post and they did not sponsor me to run the Petco 5K9, I paid the registration fee myself.  I do believe that keeping yourself and your animals fit and healthy is important.  All opinions are my own**

OHS Doggie Dash 2013

Hi!

This morning was another successful Doggie Dash at the Portland Waterfront!

We met Katie and Maverick at the start line this morning before they took off for their 2.5 mile dash.

My crew did the shorter 1.5 mile walk because Lucy Lu couldn't even be carried that far let alone walk/run

I really should invest in a front pack for her.  In case you were wondering YES people do that for pugs.

Sarah and Katherine were total troopers and believe it or not actually had a good time.

The sweetness between the two of them is just too much sometimes!  Love those girls <3

This was my 2nd year doing the Doggie Dash and it is quickly becoming a tradition.  Maverick is the reason Katie started running and therefore me too.  Plus any excuse to get all of my favorite people together is something I'll never turn down!  OK off to pack snacks and change for race #2 of the day!

Happy Mother's Day Weekend!

ShamRock 'n' Roll Recap

Hi!

Yesterday I ran the ShamRock 'n' Roll 10k in Plymouth and I was able to shave 5 minutes off of my last 10k PR.  My chip time was 1:01:30 with a 9:54 average pace.  Since I actually have splits that resemble that of an actual runner I'll share them with you!

It was really cold Sunday morning (think 20's) and then it started to get windy, really universe?!  Our rental is about a mile from the start so I decided I would run to the starting line and avoid parking.  I am glad I did because there was about 4100 runners and not that much available parking.  When I got there I headed into Panera to avoid the wind chill and use their bathroom.  The line stretched all the way to the back of the building and I knew I only had about 20 minutes to wait so I headed out to find an alternative.  They had 4 porta potties total, 2 in the park and 2 by the public parking plus they opened the public restrooms.  There was a line at all of them but they moved quickly and there was plenty of toilet paper!  Advice to all runners, go to the bathroom before any race even if you feel you don't need to, you'll be glad you did.

There were 2 starting waves for the 10k and I started with the 2nd wave since the 1st wave took off while I was in line for the bathroom.  I jumped into the start towards the front because I felt super fast!  Actually it was because I saw there was a 65 minute pace group behind me and I knew I wanted to break that time at this 10k.  The gun went off and away we all went!

I felt strong starting off and just listened to the sound of the runners and stomping feet.  I was really cold and it took about 2 miles before I warmed up.  I am so glad I brought my cheap Target gloves, they were just enough to keep my hands warm and I didn't end up taking them off till the 4.5 mile mark.  I really worked at paying attention to my body during this race, concentrating on how my legs felt and my stomach.  I also did something kinda silly and really talked myself up during this race, I would say things in my head like "Feel how strong your core is right now", "Your legs are really on their game today."  If I focus in on how I am actually feeling and ignore my own mind games I notice that I am stronger than I realize.

I prepped myself for this race and knew at the 4.5 mile mark I would turn on my music and start to push.  Saving my music for the last part of a race is a trick I learned during the marathon last year.  It gets me out of my body and focuses me on something else.  Looking at my splits I see I could have ran harder and I am going to remember that for next time.  I know I held back in the last mile more than I should have and if I would have pushed it I could have gotten my "A" Goal which was to get a time of 1:00:00.

Running is all about learning what our bodies can do and I learned that this year will be my year to push it.  I am determined to improve on my times and become a stronger runner.  Yesterday I allowed myself to compare to other runners and found myself in a funk.  Then FitFluential posted this on Facebook last night and it pushed out all of the self doubt that was festering.

I wasn't allowing myself to savor my new 10k PR because I was to busy focusing on what others accomplished and comparing it to mine.  I cannot compete with other runners, I can only compete with myself and I did just that on Sunday.  I shaved 5 minutes off of my 10k PR from last year and that is awesome!  When I came home with my medal Katherine shouted "Mama, you won!".  Yes Katherine, Mama did win :)

Overall it was a good race, the course was well marked and they had 3 aid stations which I thought was great.  Afterwards you could go into a tent to get a Panera bagel, banana, granola bar and a bottle of water. I didn't stick around much after that because my body temperature was quickly lowering and I was getting really cold.  I walked home along the course so I got to see a bunch of runners out there doing their thing.  I am glad I signed up for this race, even though it was sort of  lonely.  Doing races with your buddies is so much better then going at it alone!  We are 17 days from our flight back to Montana and I am so excited to see some familiar faces.  I really miss my family and friends and I can't wait till we are all reunited.  Homesickness is at an all time high right now!

  Where do you call home?

What do you do with your race medals and bibs?
- I hang my medals in my closet on the hat rack hooks and I am debating on what to do with my bibs...thinking garage in front of my treadmill might be a good spot.

The Color Run!

Good morning!  Happy Monday and 1st of October!  The 1st of October means I can legally bust out my Halloween decorations today, woop!  It is going to be a pretty big day around here.  In other big news Katie and I finally got a chance to do the Color Run this past weekend.

They say that 15,000 people were registered for it but it never felt like that many people to me.  It probably helped that it took place at Portland International Raceway so there was lots of room for people to move.  We got there nice and early so we didn't really have a lot of lines to wait in and we were able to be in the 2nd wave of runners.  Well let me correct that, we were able to dodge lots of walkers, lol.  I am not saying there is anything wrong with walkers but I think it would be better to split us up.  Runners get started first and then the walkers, I think everyone would have enjoyed the course a little more.  Lots of dodging and swerving, I am sure the walkers loved being sideswiped the whole 5k.

The swag bag wasn't to exciting, a cotton t-shirt, a Color Runner sweat headband, temp tattoo and bag of color for the end.  Plus there wasn't anything at the finish like snacks or samples really.  I saw a line for some drink, similar to a sports drink, but the line was LONG.  Probably because that was the only thing they were offering.  There was lots of food you could buy but I doubt to many people had a lot of money on them,  most knew anything they brought would be covered in color by the end.  We did have a good time on the course and got very colored by the end of it!

Before:

After:

So far today seems quiet, besides the garbage man outside my window delivering some gigantic dumpster to the neighbors at 7 AM, that's fun.  It is still taper week around here and apparently I am suppose to eat pasta at every meal to build up my carbs.  Fine!  If I must!  I am kidding, please don't send me "You are an idiot" emails, I know I am suppose to up my carbs a little bit and I promise only 1 pasta dish per day ;)

Have you ever done the Color Run?

Were you there this weekend?!

Tell me about your tips for taper week!

20 Miles +1

Good morning!  This weekend was my final 20 mile training run and I have to say it was worlds better than my first.  I am huge supporter of doing a minimum of two of each distance before pushing to the next milestone.  I didn't start feeling like death till mile 19, that is an improvement from feeling like that at mile 16.5!  Part of our route was up Mt. Tabor and we took a picture in front of "The Dude".  Its amazing how much hills don't bother me as much as they use to, jeez I guess training has some perks!

Once we got the 20 miles under our belt it was time for us to head home.  Later that day there was a benefit concert and fun run in Sherwood that I was really excited to get the girls to do.  Since it was only 1 mile I figured it would be a great little starter to see if its something they would be interested in.  When the bell went off Sarah was off and running!  She was so excited to be out running and ran the entire distance!  She would high five the Sherwood Cheerleaders as she passed and stayed ahead of me the majority of the time.  Sometimes she would fall back and hold my hand but most of the time she wanted to be on her own.  I was so proud of her for sticking with it and not complaining once during the entire run.  I think we have another runner in the family!  Katherine wasn't as excited about the running part, Jess carried her on his shoulder for about 3/4 of the mile, but she had fun too, just in a different way.

What was so great about this particular event was that 100% of the proceeds went to a local Sherwood family who really need it at this time.  I have always loved living in Sherwood, we've been here for almost 7 years and I have met some pretty great people.  Its a special type of community to say the least and seeing everyone come together on Saturday afternoon to support this family was pretty moving.  Proud of my family and proud of my community, Go Bowmen!

On Sunday OMSI was having a Mini Maker's Fair and Jess was dying to go and see what it is was all about.  I wasn't so sure sometimes that stuff can be pretty far out there but this turned out to be pretty interesting.  The first thing that caught my eye was these gorgeous sculptures this guy made out of old musical instruments.  I mean they were so intricate and detailed I couldn't take my eyes off of them.

There were a lot of little stations and booths for the kids to get hands on with projects and lots of different exhibits with robots and legos, etc.

It was a full weekend and I am tired today but I have a lot to get done so no rest for the wicked over here!  Its the start of the new phase of Chalean and I still have other things like laundry, child rearing and bill paying so I guess I should get to it.  Being up all night with Katherine last night isn't helping my motivation, but maybe one more cup of coffee will do the trick.  Have a great Monday!

What is something fun you did this weekend?

If you have kids, do they ever do any of the fun runs at the races you sign up for?
-I'll definitely get Sarah signed up for some more she loved it!  Katherine might learn to love it...

Marathon Weekend

Hi!  Well it wasn't really Marathon Weekend, but in miles it was.  Saturday was my first 20 mile run and the first part was great, then it started to get warm, then hot, then miserable.  I am not use to running that late in the day when it starts to inch above 70 degrees, I can hear all you hot weather runners laughing at me.  We started at 8 AM and it took just over 4 hours to get to the 20 mile marker, it was rough those last few miles and I was hurting.  I feel good about getting it done and having an idea of what that is going to feel like in the marathon, I don't feel excited about having to do it again this weekend.  I am getting pretty excited and anxious for the race, its hard to believe how close it is to getting here.  We have one more long training run and then we start to taper next weekend!

Part of our route was over the St. John's bridge and that part of it was really cool.
Katie took this one, it was when I still liked to run, about mile 7

Katie is in the orange (Go Beavers!) it was a beautiful part of the day when we headed over the bridge

Yesterday (Sunday) it was time to run Katie's birthday run!  She decided quite a while ago that she wanted to run the Pints to Pasta 10K for her birthday, which is TODAY!  Happy Birthday Katie!  We ran it yesterday and it was a really great race.  Its organized by Portland Running Company owner's Paula and Dave and their running group Run with Paula!  I really like how smooth everything goes with their races and I would highly recommend their store and events for anyone who has a love of running.  They put a lot of thought and energy into all of the details.  It was a great way to spend a morning and a great race for Katie's birthday.

So I technically ran a marathon this weekend!  If you don't count the hours of sleep in between...which I guess most do, dang it!  It was also pretty cool to be part of Jenni's very first 10K!  She was so nervous at the start line but she really surprised herself and did very well.  It is a lot of fun having her come to so many races and really put herself out there.  She has been working hard to build up her miles and her stamina and completing your first 10K isn't easy!  I remember my first 10K I never thought I would run one again...and here I am.

I have so much more from the weekend and my last couple of long training runs that I want to share with you but there is a lot to get done today!  I hope you all had a great weekend too!

Did you do any races this weekend?

Any long training runs?!
-Someone share that they are also crazy and do to much in a weekend than should be allowed!

Wish Katie a Happy 29th!  I can tell its going to be a good year for her!

Pineapple Classic 5K

Happy Saturday!  I think I finally got a grip on the tornado of a house situation, but probably just for the moment.  I just finished up Burn 2 and tomorrow is my final workout of the Burn Phase of Chalean, I am so excited and nervous to do my measurements.  I am ready to move on to the next phase, its called the Push Phase and it sounds like I'll need heavier weights.  There are some different sets I've been looking into but so far the best priced options are the Reebok Adjustable Pair Weights, I can get them at Target for $70.00 and they won't take up as much room as a whole set.

Reebok Adjustable Pair Weights - Black/Silver (25Lb).Opens in a new window
This morning I did the Pineapple Classic 5K out in Canby.  I did the fun run with Katie, Kim and Jenni, such a fun group of girls.  The run benefited the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and it was Hawaiian themed and full of obstacles.  One guy must of the missed the memo that it was a FUN run when he decided to plow through the four of us at full board and knock the wind out of a few of us...but other than that asshole it was a great run!  Katie picked up some cute flowers for our hair and some pretty awesome sunglasses.  We all wore Hawaiian grass skirts and Kim picked us up some classic Hawaiian shirts to sport.

Afterwards they had some great food and beer for all of the participants and a big water balloon fight.  We ate the food, drank the beer but the skipped the water balloon fight, we were pretty soaked enough.  The final obstacle was a big blow up slide with a pool at the bottom that was filled with pretty muddy water and it was cold!  The race was great and benefited such an awesome cause.  All of the volunteers and coordinators were so friendly and everyone seemed to be having a really great time.

The rest of the day has been spent at home catching up on laundry and miscellaneous chores.  A day at home was so needed for our sanity.  We are definitely in winding down mode!  As much of a great time as we've had this summer its really time to start slowing things down.  This mama doesn't run great on fumes and I feel lately that's all I've got.  I am going to try and be more conscious of what I commit myself and the family to and try to spend more time together just chilling out at home.  Can't believe how quickly the end of summer is approaching!  I already got the girl's preschool teacher information set and have to start getting their immunization forms and all of that, holy cow!  I also have to figure out how I'll be in both of their classrooms at the same time for their orientation day...that'll be interesting!

What do you and your family do to relax and unwind?

Are you an on the go family or homebodies?

Have you done an obstacle course race?

Did you say Rum or Run?!

What a weekend!  It was one of those where nothing significant happened, but it was busy and right now is the first time I've had a chance all weekend to sit down and blog, all together now, *sigh*.  I didn't run on Friday since Saturday was my Portland Fit and we were scheduled to run 12 so I figured I would lay low and not worry about getting in any mileage.  Plus Friday turned out to be incredibly hectic so finding time for a run just wouldn't have played out anyway.  Saturday morning we started the 12 miles around 6:30 AM and it was a really great run, I felt really strong throughout and kept a steady pace.  It was our last 12 miler before the Helvetia Half on June 9th, next Saturday we do 10 miles and then its the Half Marathon!  I am so excited that its already on the horizon and next week we pick up our packets!

Yesterday was the Rum Run in Tualatin and my last race for the month of May, an awesome race to wrap up the month!  The race started in 2008 in Tualatin and is working its way towards Seattle and San Diego too.  It has a fun tropical feel with tiki torches, steel drums and a kid zone equipped with a bounce house!  Katie and I had originally thought we would do the 10K but she was also scheduled to run 12 miles on Saturday so we scaled back and did the 5K and Katie PR'd that junk!  While I was waiting at the start for our wave to get going I got to meet a girl who reads my blog!  She totally made my day, thank you if your still reading and I didn't totally scare you away!

She even came up to say HI after she probably witnessed this picture taking montage!

After the race we re-hydrated with a refreshing 10 Cane Rum Mojito!  And call me crazy but do Katie and I have like crazy vein hands in this picture?!  We must really be gripping our drinks, yes they were that good!

Now I am totally in the game getting ready for the Half in a couple weeks, I started with Portland Fit at the end of February and I can't believe how quickly the race got here, before I know it it'll be time for the Full Marathon, cray cray!

I hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend!

Did anyone else run a race this weekend?  How did you do?

Run Girlfriend Run!

Good morning!  Winding down from my run this morning, Portland Fit had us scheduled to do a 10 minute warm up, 10 (25x25), then a 10 minute cool down.  I did the warm up and cool down like a good girl, but I only did 10 of the 25...because I am a wimp and by the 10th my body was done.  I might have pushed to hard on those 10 so next time I'll shoot for the full 25.  I feel really good about my workout this morning even though I only got to 10 because I pushed myself HARD for those 10.  Also at 10 it was 6:45 and Jess had to leave for work by 7 so since he is the one who pays the bills I figured I'd give him the courtesy of being home.

This weekend was the Run Girlfriend Run 5K & 10K out in beautiful Sandy Oregon.  The event benefited the American Heart Association and also towards scholarships for young girls who need help financially to participate in Oregon Trail School District Athletic programs.  It was an all women run that started and ended at the Mt. Hood Athletic Club, which is a really nice athletic club located in Sandy.  Being the awesome girl Katie is she had already picked up our race packets so when I got to her house I was able to get in my shirt and put on my bib!  I love getting to the race having everything on and ready to go, not trying to figure out where the heck I am going to put my newly acquired goodies!

I love the RGR shirts, they are tech shirts and lime green as you can see!  They were super comfy during the run and I love how bright they are.

Yes I am clinging to Katie...Yes I have personal space issues.

Bryan (Katie's hubster) dropped us off at the race, which is such a nice perk, love our personal driver.  Note: Get a picture of him next race!

Katie and I both did the 10K, it was her 2nd and my 1st, while during the race I was thinking to myself I am not doing a 10K again, once I finished I was ready to sign up for another one.  Katie did really well, her race pace has picked up dramatically IMO and she finished in under an hour.  This wasn't a flat, all road race people.  It was hilly, like big hills and trails and gravel and she knocked it out of the park, proud of her!  Since it was my first 10K I didn't have a PR to beat but my goal was under 1.5 hours and I did that! LOL!  Oh ya oh ya!  My unofficial time was 1 hour and 5 minutes (or so), the results they have posted are not accurate so I am going by my watch, but that also isn't 100%.  I kept a 10:40 pace which was good, my training pace is close to 11:30 so I was glad my race pace was up a notch.

It was a really fun race and a good morning, I am grateful for the opportunity I have to be able to run and do these races.  Jess was at the finish line with the girls which was the first time I have had anyone at a finish besides Katie ;)  It was really awesome to have my family standing there cheering me on, feels good to know I have such a strong support system.  I'm a lucky girl!

I will grace you with a few more pictures of our morning, you guys are so lucky!

We always try to get a picture with Maverick, he is why we started running in the 1st place

We felt like #1 after the race!

We went out to breakfast after the race and waited approximately 7.25 hours for our breakfast.

So Jess has a mustache...not sure why he feels he needs to give himself a "finger" mustache.  Oh and your saying how impressed you are with our husbands fashion?!  Oh Yes, they are super snazzy dressers, but they are all ours, lucky lucky girls.

I hope you all had a nice weekend!  Did anyone else run any races this weekend?
-Portland had their inaugural Rock N'Roll Half Marathon and it sounded like it was a complete success!

Who else has a husband or brother or family member in general who loves funny shirts?
-Jesse's closet is 85% funny/dorky shirts

Doggie Dash!

This morning I did some speed work or is it called tempo running?  To be honest I am still in learning mode I don't really know but I'll share it with you anyway!  I ran to the elementary school/middle school in our neighborhood that has a really nice track and did a warm up lap.  After my warm up I ran hard, really hard (for me) for a lap and then slowed down and did a nice slow lap.  I did this routine for about 8 laps, with 4 being hard and 4 being cool down/slow pace.  With my iPod Nano Nike Fitness feature it would tell me what my lap pace was and it was usually around a 8:00 minute pace, with my last lap being 7:35 pace.  I cannot tell you if this is good/bad/medium, have no idea!  Will talk to some more seasoned friends and my Portland Fit coaches to get their opinion.  But regardless I felt great afterwards!  I took the hill route home and felt strong.  It was an awesome run this morning :)

So to put it mildly, last week...was awful.  Just plain awful, it seemed to get progressively worse as the days wore on but I am sure that had to do with my attitude towards the situations and my lack of running.  BUT the weekend was nothing short of amazing.  Saturday morning was the Doggie Dash, my first of 3 races I am signed up for this Month, I know kinda over kill but they are fun and its a great excuse to get to spend 4 weekends in a row with Katie, which is basically unheard of around here.

We met up around 7 so we could run to the waterfront and not have to fight parking downtown.  It was such a beautiful morning, I am hoping this awesome weather we've been having is a nice prelude to our awesome summer.

Katie and Maverick were bright eyed and bushy tailed!

A free mimosa before our run?  Why Yes Thank You!

Maverick was a little stuck up to take a photo with me...whatever dude!

It was just a fun 2.5 mile Dash from bridge to bridge in Downtown Portland, but it was a beautiful day and so fun to see everyone with their dogs.  It was a wonderful start to the great weekend that laid out before me.

After the run I went home, showered and got ready for the rest of my Saturday with my family.  The sun was already hot and being outside just felt so good.  We went to Bi-Mart to pick up my fishing license and a couple fishing poles for our Mother's Day fishing trip on Sunday.  I wish I would have had my camera in Bi-mart, that place is hilarious!  There were some beautiful moo-moos that I think I could have pulled off...maybe.

I'll share more about our Mother's Day fishing trip later!

Signed my life away...till October

Well I did it, I register for the Portland Marathon this morning.  It seemed like the logical thing to do after just finishing up a really unsuccessful, didn't give it my best run this morning.  Right?!  I figured I need to register for it 1) because its filling up fast and I'll miss my chance and 2) so that it becomes a reality and I won't have an out.  So I am all registered and ready to go for October 7th at 7 AM with my Best Friend Katie and all the other crazies I love so much!

Sellwood Scamper Race Recap

Yesterday I ran a 5K with my BFF and another really great friend Sharol, we had such a good time and it was such a great race.  It was free (always a fun perk) and they gave us free socks, really nice socks too, score!  The race was put on by the new Foot Traffic that has opened up in Sellwood and it was a Grand Opening celebration.  The race took place through the Sellwood neighborhood, which I am sure all of you locals can imagine is just beautiful.  I felt really good about this race, I stayed with Katie the whole route, or should I say she slowed down her run and stayed with me.  About .5 of the way in I decided I am going to leave it all out on the course from now on and I ran what felt like my hardest the whole way.  Katie (BFF) was so encouraging the whole way, when she saw me looking down she would say "LOOK UP LOOK UP, looking down slows you down" words of wisdom!  She would say "Pain is weakness leaving the body" when she saw me lagging up the hills and when we saw the finish line we pushed it and sprinted and it felt good.  We had such a great race together and everyone seemed to be in the highest spirits the whole day.  Since Katie works graveyard (seriously the woman is a machine) she had to go home and sleep before her next shift once we were done with the race.

*I hate all pics of myself* gag

I went ahead to brunch with some of the other girls from the race and Sharol and ate a breakfast I am so ashamed of!  Thick cut french toast and a side of hashbrowns, oh yea and my mimosa!  So I'll be eating clean for a while now!  It was such an awesome day, it awakened my inner racer, not just runner.  Oh and I have to say that Sharol ran her BEST yet, very proud and happy for her.

Final Results
Finished in 30:12 with a 9:43 average pace

*Pictures from the race aren't ready yet but I'll post as soon as they are!*

I am off to spend a beautiful day with my girls and get my 5 mile run in, its in the books I gotta do it, even though I am secretly excited for it :)
