I love Mizuno

Good Morning!

Today I get to run!  YES!  I finally feel less like death and will get a chance to stretch my legs.  I was going to run this morning but realized I could run in the daylight today so I am pretty excited about that.  I am also pretty excited about these new Mizunos.

Mizuno Women's Wave Rider 16

I want them so bad, I am due for a new pair of running shoes so I am pretty sure these will be the ones!  They will be my third pair of Mizuno's and so far so good.  Now to pay for them...sigh.

I should have lots to share with you but yesterday was laundry and more laundry throw in some shower scrubbing and then bedtime.  Nothing picture worthy in my opinion and I've barely done anything fitness related in almost a week.  Being sick is for the birds, I am to busy for this nonsense!  Today is our appointment for our flu shots, we got them last year and I feel we were able to ward off most sickness.  Hopefully we'll find the same luck this year!  I never got flu shots before kids but the flu is a new whole ballgame so I see the importance in that vaccine now for our family.

Remember if you are running a race in November to sign up for the virtual race to benefit Hurricane Sandy Relief!  Go Here!

Today is Election Day, if you haven't already get your vote out there to count.  I'll be dropping my ballot off today before I head out for my run.  Nothing like the last minute!

Tell me what your favorite pair of running shoe is!

I am finding getting my motivation up to be a challenge, I need a race or something on the calendar.  Do you have any tips for keeping motivated when you don't have anything on your race calender?

My Non-Scrapbooking Night

Up way to late, suppose to be working on my project life album but instead I just finished watching USA May and Walsh just win GOLD!  Good job ladies!

But my friends are working very hard on their albums

I am so behind, I haven't done my pictures since February and I don't even know where to start.  Oh well, I did do my CLX Burn It Off workout this afternoon so I am not a total sloth.  I wore my new Mizunos and I love them, my insoles feel really comfortable and so far they are a winner.

What are you watching during the Olympics?

Do you scrapbook or do anything with your pictures?  Or do they sit on the computer?

Tweet! Tweet!

Good morning!  No run this morning, boo.  Jess had to leave earlier than usual for work and I could have just gotten up earlier, like 5, but I wasn't mentally prepared for that and I stayed up to late watching the Olympics.  So oh well, its a missed run but those happen and I just have to let it go.  Later today I am going to do CLX Intervals and Abs which is a high cardio workout so I can get sweaty and wear my new shoes.  In other new shoes news, I forgot to tell you about my newest addition.

I got these at a silent auction last weekend, aren't they cute?!  I had to have them, I stalked that table like Lucy does when she knows it feeding time.  I paid way to much for them but all of the $ went to a great cause so I honestly don't feel bad about over paying for them.  Plus they are just going to be daily errands shoes, not running or cross training so they should last me quite a while.

Yesterday I met Katie for dinner at the Spaghetti Factory and didn't take any pictures except for one of my drink, nice right?  Priorities.

Jess went to Costco last night before I met up with Katie and I didn't see everything he bought until I woke up this morning and saw it hanging out in my kitchen.

Well Good Morning sugar, sugar, more processed sugar and one of my favorite girls to give some sugar.  This is what happens when you send Jess to any grocery store, he comes home with junk and its always my fault because I don't buy it.  Really, Ol'Time White bread?  I haven't bought white bread...actually I don't think I have ever bought white bread.  Look how happy Katherine is?!  I guess sometimes won't hurt, but that is a huge box of Reese's Puffs!  Someone help me.

As I was taking the above picture I could hear a bunch of little tweets, real ones not ones from Twitter.

These little baby birds have started making their appearance in the little nest on our porch.  I don't have the heart to move it right now, there is no way I could do that to them.  But I am going to have to get rid of it eventually...does anyone have any ideas?  When I should do it or how?  They are so little and I think there are at least 6 of them in there.  As I was taking the picture the mama bird must have seen me and came dive bombing at me!  Holy crap!  OK OK I get it, I'll go back in inside!

Who does the grocery shopping at your house?  Is it a team effort?

What is favorite type of bread?  Brand?

Shoes By Mail

Hello!  Guess who got a package today?!  ME!  Someone was at the door and when I opened it to tell them "No Thank You see the No Soliciting Sign" I saw my package staring up at me!  So I grabbed my package smiled and shut the door.  Please don't knock on my door unless I know you AND like you, thanks.  Anyway, my new running shoes are here and I am so excited to use them!

Snack time!  I buy these for myself the girls but keep them all over the place because they are a great snack all around.  You can get a huge pack of them at Costco and they just last forever.  I was starving after my trail run on Sunday and forgot to bring a bar with me and when I got in my car to head home one of these packages was sitting in my cup holder from our last outing, score!

Alright, I'll get to the Giveaway WINNER since that is why you are here!  I used Random.Org to pick the lucky lady (no men entered) and the winner of my first giveaway goes to....

Jenen Ross!

I used Random.Org but Jess isn't here right now to show me how I can take a screen shot of that and put it on my blog...lame right?!  But Jenen your comment #3 and that is the number it chose.  YAY!  I would ask for your address but I already have it and I'll just deliver the goods to your house this week.  Thank you so much for entering and really thank you to everyone who reads my blogs.  It means SO MUCH to me, you have no idea.  Thank you!

Breaking News

Hi!  I haven't done my Ab workout yet...I am going to do tonight, its only a 10 minute quick torture so I'll get it done after the girls go to bed.  I returned my Nike running shoes this afternoon and traded them for the new generation of Mizuno Wave Riders.  But they didn't have my size in stock, 9.5, so they had to order them for me.  Nothing like going into a store with shoes to leave without shoes, sad face.

**I have a picture to put here, but blogger hates me right now**

They should be here soon though, I got the email telling me they've already shipped so that is good news and they only cost me $7 more bucks!  I am super excited for them to arrive, until then I'll wear my tried and true Mizunos.

I have a hair appointment tonight, actually in about an hour.  No cutting today!  I am trying to grow it out, aren't you thrilled I shared that with you?  I know, now your evenings can go on as scheduled since you have that exciting piece of news to share with your loved ones.  Have a good night!  Go out for a run or do an exercise you've been wanting to try off of Pinterest, you won't regret it!

I'll Never Leave You Again...Maybe

Good morning!  My workout this morning was a 3.35 mile run and I pushed it to a 10:28 pace which was challenging but felt good.  I really want to push myself to get to a 10 minute pace by the end of the year, that is goal #89, kidding, kind of.  When I got home I changed my shoes and put on my CLX Burn 2 DVD.  It was hard today, I was hungry but wanted to push through till the end before I ate.  Then I saw we were out of milk so no protein shake for me, waaaa!

i dont think that is a particularly good argument

So a few weeks ago I needed wanted a new pair of running shoes.  I thought I would try a different brand, I tried on a few different types and finally decided on the Nike Pegasus.  I am going to return them tomorrow, I am just not loving them.  Luckily I have a 90 day rewards program/member thing at Road Runner so I should be able to return them hassle free.  I am going to get another pair of Mizunos and stick with what works.  There isn't anything particularly wrong with the Nikes, I just really liked my Mizunos and have started to wear them for my CLX.  My feet just fit perfectly in the Mizunos and I miss them.  Sorry Nike!  Its not you, its me.

Well I have had way to much caffeine this morning and I need to fix the lack of milk problem so look out people at Costco, I am coming and I'll have the girls.  You've been warned.

What is your favorite running shoe?

Do you stick with a particular shoe or do you try out different brands?

Do you use inserts?
I have some that I got this time around and I am really happy with them!

Do you read my questions and think to yourself, this girl is a wacko?

Hello Lover

Hi everyone I am back!  I have lots to share with you about our trip in Montana but it'll have to wait until I download my photos and organize everything in my head.  First things first was getting up this morning at 5:30, actually wasn't as gruesome as I thought it would be, nobody was hurt.  I didn't run nearly as much as I wanted when I was there and I missed two group runs (play me a tiny violin someone).  So I really need to get back to it this week so I can my 5K with Katie this weekend and actually be successful...or lets just say finish.  I had originally planned on a PR...and now I just don't know if I am going to be able to accomplish that goal.  Katie is planning on pacing me at around a 9 minute mile which if I really push myself I think I can hold on for those 3 miles, it isn't going to feel good or be very comfortable but it'll be worth it if I at least come close to my goal.  Its also time for new running shoes!  YAY!  Its already time to retire my first pair of running shoes, they are Mizuno Wave Riders and they were amazing.

This time I might go a different route and try a pair of Brooks, I don't think I can go wrong and I want to give them a shot.  I really want to find these!!!  Hellooooo lover.....

Other than needing new shoes this week the girls start swim lessons today!  Which means procrastinator mom needs to get them their one piece swim suits TODAY.  Actually this morning...good job mom, good job.  They have suits I am not a total loser mom, but they are the sun shielding, short sleeve with a pair of shorts suits which I don't think are very good for swim lessons, but maybe that's just me!  And maybe I just want to get them another suit because 3 year olds are just so cute in swim suits.  Better get to it!

What running shoes do you use?  Do you have an opinion you want to share?  I'd love to hear it!
