Double the Fun

This week in Oregon we've had something really rare...Sun.  We had sun all week and get this, we are going to have sun this weekend!  Living in Oregon during the winter months can be rough, actually living in Oregon during the spring time can be rough the winters can just drag on and on and on, get it?  On and on and on...yep, I think now you get it.

Yesterday I went to check my mail hoping to find my big box of stuff I forgot in Montana but instead I found these !
  Score!

There is so much information in these magazines, I am not even a quarter of the way through the one on the left.  It has gotten me motivated again and excited to try out all of the different tempo runs they recommend that can increase your pace.  Have I ever shared with you my pace?  Probably not...OK here I go, I, on average, run an 11 minute pace.  My goal by marathon time is to be running a 10 minute pace, is that completely unrealistic? I guess I'll find out.

Tomorrow morning is the Doggie Dash!  It benefits the Oregon Humane Society and Benny the Beaver is going to be there!  Go Beavers!  I can't wait to share with you all of the fun stuff they have for us dashers.  Enjoy your Friday night!  TGIF!

Anyone else out there wanna share their pace?  C'mon don't be shy!

  1. SO excited for Doggie Dash tomorrow! I am also hoping for a 10 minute pace for the marathon, 9:30 for the half and anything less I'm about 9-9:15 pace...All depends on the run really! And don't forget you did a 5K with about a 9:45 pace! See you bright and early tomorrow!!

  3. I'm a fairly new runner too and have been able to make some good progress recently. Last month I was lucky if I could run my short weekday runs at an 11:00 pace... Wednesday's run was at a 10:02 pace for 3.82 miles. I will be running my second half marathon in 9 days - My goal for the half marathon is 2:30:00 (a 11:27 pace). Who knows what my goal can be next year or later this year.
